At this point, I noticed I forgot to install Realtek HD audio manager. Looking more closely into it, when plugging in the headset, windows does not recognise a change in audio device. My first incentive was a faulty headset, but it works on my PC, so that was ruled out quickly. While everything works flawlessly, hey came up to me and said that his sound ( his headset specifically) does not work.
